George at Little Fort Virginia

Here we are at Little Fort in Fort Valley Virginia, just a half mile below Woodstock Tower. It was in this place that retreating troops fired gold into the hillside to prevent its capture. The booted feet of many generals walked the stony path to the natural tower above to observe troop movements. All seven bends of the Shenendoah river are visible from it's heights, and there is even a haunted mine halfway down the cliff face where the creaks and groans are not as formidable as the terrain.
