Prof. Kommal's brief bio:

Prof. Kommal had been selected as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. In March 2021, he had been selected as one of 112 YGL’s in the world for 2021.

Prof Terrence Kommal is a medical doctor in South Africa. He has a proven history of achievement and he excels as a servant leader dedicated to sustainable and impact-focussed organisations. He is the founder of the Medical Experts Consulting Group. The company and its entities provided services to the SA govt for medical work and claims worth more than R2 billon per annum.

He has previously served in a range of senior roles in South Africa in govt and private sector. He is currently the CEO of the Omdutt Group, a group that actively invests and manages sustainable businesses in healthcare and other sectors in South Africa, Mauritius and the UAE.

He is a former technical expert on South Africa’s B4SA-COVID 19 workstream.

In recognition on Prof Kommal’s remarkable contributions and leadership in healthcare, North West University in 2020 has appointed him as their first Extraordinary Professor of Practice. Now in December 2021, he has been honoured and invited to speak on behalf of the almost 30 000 graduates and alumni of University of Stellenbosch’s Business School.
