Woman Plunges to Her Death From Rising Drawbridge

Carol Wright was crossing the Royal Park Bridge, which links Palm Beach to West Palm Beach. When the drawbridge started to open, she couldn’t get off and fell to her death. Inside Edition is walking across the Palm Beach, Florida, bridge where the 79-year-old woman lost her life when it opened. Wright had two minutes to get off the bridge but couldn’t make it. “I guarantee you she made a valiant effort to get across this bridge and tried valiantly to save her own life,” the family attorney said.
