So, why is professional photography important? This topic honestly feels like a waste of time. It is quite frankly self-evident why professional photography is important. The typical home price or the median home price in New York City for example is between $700k - $800k.

A home is the most impactful financial decision anybody typically makes in their lifetime and as a seller you are obviously looking to make sure that your most important asset achieves the highest possible price when you're going through all of the trouble and effort to actually sell it and paying all of the exorbitant closing costs as is the case here in New York City.

So, with all of those facts laid out about the magnitude of this transaction, the fact that you don't do it very often, why on earth would a seller, why on earth would somebody who's selling ever tolerate photos that are not as good as they possibly could be?

Well, the answer comes down to economics and the cost you know, many people who are looking to sell FSBO, for example are doing it because they obviously want to save money but the problem is, if you think you're going to save the full 6% but you don't want to pay like $300 for photos, you're kind of missing the forest when looking at the trees. In other words, you're shooting yourself in the foot.

You know, paying a few hundred dollars for professional photography as a physical seller is a no-brainer. It can result in a meaningful increase in the amount of foot traffic and the interest in your home. If somebody doesn't like the one cover photo on your listing, they're not going to reach out. If they don't reach out, you have no way of contacting them because they never reached out to you. So, you just lose that person as a prospective bidder or as somebody who if not ultimately coming in with the highest offer would potentially create a situation where you have a bidding war and bidding wars always result in the best outcome the highest potential market pricing for a seller.

So, as you can see on the video, we're kind of going through a montage of you know, before and after foot photos of listings that we've worked with here in New York City. In other words, a seller has come to us you know, potentially a physical seller they took their own pictures and didn't have a good outcome, boom, we got them professional photography.

Most of them used our Hauseit Agent Assisted FSBO Service, so they got you know, full comprehensive marketing exposure on the MLS, all major real estate websites, they had the same high quality professional, HDR photography that you know, any traditional full service listing agent would offer and as a result on average, they have an amazing experience and they sell for the highest possible price.
