2022-02-20 AIS Training Sail

Today I tested my new VHF radio with built-in AIS receiver. For that purpose I sailed half way to Bornholm, hunting some of the large ships which are passing through.
Sorry for the terrible audio. You could just as well mute the video and just watch the waves :-)
What I was trying to explain: the radio alarmed me about the other ships, calculating our "closest point of approach" (CPA) and the estimated time until we reach that.
Quite handy for navigation in busy waters, like the British Channel or around Cape of Good Hope. And during short naps :-)
