Shakin' the Well Dry

Papa Grows Funk kicks off today's Segue City Special with "Shakin'" and then we slide into Phat Phunktion's "Well Run Dry" and it comes together to welcome everyone to Monday which means we all have to get back to work... normally we're better at working at nothing all day or something like that... but this segue works.

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. Other times there's hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow... if you liked today's segue, our Mayor is known as the Silver Haired Man of Rock n' Roll. This offer is void where prohibited by law and that normally means it's legal everywhere but in New Mexico... is that gun really loaded or not? You know you're in NM because everyone there believe that using a turn signal is a sign of weakness.

This feature is a three-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award.
