About this event

We refer to the recent news: Parliament: Shanmugam admits police lapse in Parti Liyani probe, says disciplinary action being taken.

We are happy that our justice system has found a breach in police lapses and we wish to educate ordinary citizens about Police's Powers and our Individual Rights if we are ever interviewed by the Police. What the Police can / can't do as well as what individuals can / can't do during investigations / remand.

Recently, Iris Koh herself was held in Police remand for 15 days and had a close understanding of how the police may operate during remand. The workshop will not discuss her time Into the Lion's Den (a poetic expression of her time in remand) but will focus on how as individuals we can all protect our rights if we are ever called to assist in Police investigations.

As good and responsible citizens, we want to cooperate fully with the Police but we know that Police officers are also humans and they do make mistakes, just like the Parti case and we want to educate the public about Police's Powers so that Police will never over-extend themselves during investigations and that ordinary citizens can ensure that our justice system remains fair and just for all involved, especially during the investigations stage.

We have invited Criminal Lawyer Patrick Fernandez who has extensive experience in interactions with the Police, AGC, representing the accused to share with us some important tips, things to take note of if you are ever invited to the Police Station for an interview/investigations.

Don't miss this rare workshop and please feel free to share this far and wide to those who may benefit from it.

We look forward to your active participation.

As this workshop is very important, we have decided to have the Free Tickets Component, as with ALL our previous events. But we also have a paid component to offset costs for this workshop.

We have paid Mr Fernandez a sum of money to conduct this workshop and any extra will go towards supporting our work at Healing the Divide: Standing up for rights for the unvaccinated and upcoming law suits, Boy Vs OYK, and for some of the freelancers behind the scenes, doing important work of managing our platforms.

This work is for Singapore and is dedicated to those who have ever stood up to say anything that is not agreeable to the official narrative.

We believe that the first step to change in our country is to educate everyone of their rights and we will continue to do that in all our work.
