The beauty of the Constitution - Topic intro

At the heart of the constitution of liberty is protecting our freedom.

One day, years ago, I was pondering on the constitution and a sentence came to mind in which contained “liberty and freedom”. I wondered why I had put liberty and freedom in the same sentence? Why have I heard others put liberty and freedom in the same sentence? What’s the difference between liberty and freedom? The dictionary didn’t help. So, I researched how the Founding Fathers used the words liberty and freedom and found a quote that made it all make sense.

Liberty is based on natural law. GOD’s law. The BIBLE. Liberty is doing what you aught to do. Freedom is doing what you want to do regardless of if it is what you ought to do.
