Ottawa Protests - Who are these creepy unidentified "militants"?

Strange looking forces have been deployed in Ottawa with no identification. Who are they? Are they Canadian forces? Half of them look like average citizens with little or no training.

Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Canadian Bill of Rights are both clear - Peaceful assembly and protest are protected rights.

Attempts to stop peaceful protest is a criminal offense.

Politicians, media and police have done their best to escalate and provoke protestors in order to justify their force and are failing.

Badge numbers and names are being hidden from prosecution.
