Quail Brooder Setup

This is how I have my quail brooder set up.
It measures 5’8”x2’x2’4” roundabouts. It was previously a reptile enclosure that I found someone getting rid of for free. Wood floor and fiberglass sliding doors, with two hardwire cloth “windows” on the top.
I use the quail chick waterers that you can find at most feed stores, alternatively you could use the chicken ones and put rocks in it to prevent chick pool parties. The water for the first few days will have some molasses, minced garlic, and organic apple cider vinegar added to it; this seems to have helped reduce any losses after they come out of the incubator.
Standard feeder base because I’m not concerned about losing a bunch of feed because the floor is solid, gamebird feed is what they’re fed.
Heat is provided by a normal brooder lamp and red bulb you can find at most feed stores.
