Ottawa Protest Feb 18th - Did police need to use horses ?

Peaceful protestors at Ottawa were met with police in riot gear and horses on February 18th 2022 near the intersection of Wellington and Sussex.

The state funded CBC are comfortable provoking the protestors by reporting that they were shouting insults at the police.

This was a show to deter further protestors from engaging in their rights to peaceful assembly. Other parts of Ottawa continued to peacefully protest the mandates and vaccine passports which directly violate charter rights and reduce non-vaccinated citizens to second class status.

The use of horses to gain 2 meters of space was excessive use of force. The police officers could have easily pushed themselves to secure the Chateau Laurier without the risk of endangering Canadian lives.

Individual rights are what protect any unpopular minority. Let us never lose sight of this.
