- People worshiped Jesus as God

2. The Bible teaches that Jesus didn’t stop being God when he became man.

Philippians Chapter 2 Verses 6-7

Jesus didn’t deny His divinity to put on humanity.

Jesus is not God’s Son in the human sense of a father and a son. To be the Son of God is to be the same nature as God. The Son of God is “of God.”

3. The Bible teaches that Jesus is the Word!

John Chapter 1 Verses 1-4

Jesus is eternal - “In the beginning was the Word”
Jesus is distinct yet equal to God. - “The Word was with God”
Jesus is divine - “The Word was God”
Jesus is a Creator - “Through Him all things were made”
Jesus became human - “The Word became flesh”
