Track Previews - "The Standoff" || Western / Action Cue Concept

ABOUT THIS VIDEO
Dipping my toes into more traditional action music in hopes to demonstrate I CAN compose in a more traditional fashion. Also, this was composed in 5/4 time signature, just to make things even more complex. This is a pseudo-western standoff style music without a lot of the hallmark instruments. I guess it could be for any action movie standoff scene but my inspiration was visualizing a western gun fight in the heart of the town.

It is mostly percussion and synth element driven with traditional horns, timpani, cymbals, gongs and snares layered in for the big moments. Composers from who I drew upon are Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, and Marco Beltrami.
