In this episode of The Source our journalist Mette Mølgaard interviews Steven Donziger, one of the environmental lawyers who won a historic lawsuit against Chevron in 2011 for a massive oil spill on behalf of indigenous peoples in the Ecuadorian Amazon. We talk about the case and about the consequences it has had for Steven Donziger to take part in this lawsuit. We also discuss the term “ecocide” and why the oil spill has been characterised as the "Amazonian Chernobyl".
