  • This is what I miss playing old school table top games (Like AD&D). Computer gaming has destroyed our ability, especially as grown adults, to use our imagination. Its amazing what some dice and an outline to game play can induce in our adult minds. To make up FANTASTIC stories worthy of a full length movie! When my son was 12 (and I was in my 30's) I introduced him to D&D. Next thing I knew I (YES I) was having sleepovers at our house with my son and 3 of his best friends. I would DM and just look in amazement at how engaging these young men became. Using their imagination, struggling with problem solving skills, working as a team (except for Josh, the Neutral Evil Thief would was always finding ways to pilfer and steal from his party companions..lol). And the biggest bonus is it kept these young men out of trouble in real life. It also made me almost like the "respected village elder" that these young men thru to 18 years old and up would come to for advice. BRAVO.... love this series. I may have to get into this...as a Sr level manager life is so boring. I need to go back to what took me away from real life as a teen (I started playing D&D in 1982 when Gary first came out with the first edition rules).
