How to cook firewood
117
This is how I dry firewood that either isn’t completely seasoned or has become wet from rain or snow. I have a camp fire cooking rack made of steel that I place on top of my wood stove and I stack wood on it while I have a fire going. I start with thicker pieces first on the bottom and out smaller and smaller pieces as the stack gets higher. I let it cook for about 90 minutes which is enough to remove most of the moisture but not completely dry it out. Afterward, I put the wood on my hearth and allow it too cool and make sure it isn’t burning at all before I stack it with other wood. This works great when you’re in a pinch or your wood gets wet. Thanks for watching and have a great day. This was filmed in 4k60.
