When the property around this brick-veneer ranch home came under development, the owners contacted Wolfe about moving the house to another site where it could be used for a private residence. The move route cut across 1½ miles of hilly farmland in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Wolfe maneuvered the 41'x48' house between a couple of buildings and across the fields, laying steel plate in front of the dollies in places where the soil might still be soft. The move took around 6 hours from when the house left its original location to when the foreman squared it over the footings of its new foundation.
