I’m Afraid of Another Failed Relationship

Question: I’m currently dating a very nice guy. He totally checks off so many qualities on my list. We’ve been dating for 2 months now and yesterday he asked me how many dates it will take for us to start a relationship. I truly didn’t know and I don’t have an answer. I haven’t dated this way. It’s different because I really want to take the time to get to know each other, but I really like this man. I just don’t know why I’m feeling not quite ready to be in relationship or if I’m just afraid of another failed relationship due to the past ones. I don’t want to pass up on this guy because he’s truly wonderful. Any advice as to when to know I’m ready for a relationship?
