English Ivy: Invasive Threat to Native Flora and Fauna

Recording of a mature 75'+ tall oak tree, infested with English Ivy up to about 60'. In warm months, the tree dries some and when a heavy, short rain event happens, ivy is able to absorb it from shallower soil faster than the tree. Thus, the tree must bear the weight of vines and new water with less flexibility. Do nature a favor and remove/control this pesty plant. Thanks!
