The Other Idaho

Idaho - Potato fields for days. Birthplace of the ski lift. Mountains so rugged they threatened to undo the Lewis and Clark Expedition. But wait, there's more! Southwest Idaho lies within the Owyhee desert region, an arid high mountain desert area known for it's deep canyons, wild horses and big horn sheep.

This area was burned during the "Soda Fire" in August 2015. 283,000 acres were burned. 30 wild horses were killed and hundreds more were rounded up due to insufficient winter grazing as a result of the fire.
