Question:

I’ve always said that if someone had kids, that would be a dealbreaker for me.

But for the last two years, I’ve been dating a man with adult children.

His kids live four hours away; he sees them occasionally. I don’t accompany him.

We’ve considered future scenarios— weddings, graduations, grandkids, etc.— and he says he’s perfectly fine going solo to such events.

We are a phenomenal couple and this is easily the best relationship I’ve ever been in.

I vacillate between thinking this could never work and believing anything is possible as long as both people are okay with it.

So, I guess what I’m asking is, is my deal breakers still a dealbreaker?
