I’m almost 38, single mom of two kids. I left an extremely toxic relationship 2 ½ years ago. I have been very guarded since. I have also been extremely happy with being single.

There is a man who has been very consistent in trying to pursue me, and on paper he’s perfect...great job, tall, handsome, respectful and a good dad to his kids.

I really want to like him. I’ve gone out on several dates to try and see if something would eventually click for me, but it hasn’t.

My family and friends think I’m making a huge mistake as I’m getting older and there aren’t many “good ones left.”

Am I being unrealistic in waiting to meet someone who feels like my person and not just great on paper?
