Question:

I am 42 and have been single for over 2 years now.

I’ve lived overseas for a long time and currently live in a vibrant but very transient city. I have a life I love—great career, lots of adventures, friends and wonderful experiences. I am ready to meet someone and hopefully become a mother in whatever way I can.

My circle of female friends and I find it hard to have serious relationships in this city and many leave because of this. There are lots of married couples; there is a high ratio of women to men and a lot of the single guys I meet just don’t want commitment.

However I have a great life here; I am able to save and travel and build a nest egg for the future. The problem is, a lot of people who live here only stay for 2-3 years and move on again. It is like a playground for people who come, make money, have a great time, and then leave. This country does not allow foreigners to become citizens so nobody really puts down roots unless you are from here.

So should I look at moving to a place where I can put down roots but do not have the same career or financial benefits?

I need your help!
