Howard Kennedy LLP's Mark Stephens says Prince Andrew “will have to confirm” within the next couple of days “exactly where the money came from” that was used to reach an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre.
“We think it was about $12 million dollars, we think it was the proceeds of the sale of a ski chalet," Mr Stephens said.
“The public will want to know that taxpayer’s money wasn’t used to fund this, and that the sovereign’s money and the royal family’s money were not used to pay compensation for his inappropriate behaviours,” he said.
