The Capital One Venture X is the newest and highest level travel credit card offered from Capital One. It has a $395 annual fee but offers a $300 travel statement credit and 10,000 bonus miles each anniversary date which can lower the effective annual fee to -$5.

The Venture X earns Capital One miles that can be redeemed for travel via the Capital One Travel Portal or transferred to Capital One's Transfer Partners. The Venture X earns 10X miles on car rentals and hotels booked via the travel portal, 5x on flights booked via the travel portal, and 2X miles on everything else.

The Venture X also offers lounge access to the Capital One Airport Lounges and a Priority Pass Membership. If you would like to add an authorized user to your Venture X card you can do so for no fees for up to 4 AUs.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve is the highest level travel credit card offered from Chase. It comes with a $550 annual fee but offers a similar $300 travel statement credit which can lower its effective annual fee down to just $250. There are other partner benefits than can lower this even more.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve earns Chase Ultimate Reward Points which can be redeemed for cash back, travel in the Chase Travel Portal, or transferred to Chase Travel Partners. The CSR earns 10X miles on hotels and car rentals booked through the travel portal, 5X on flights booked through the travel portal, 10X on Chase Dining, 3X on general travel and dining, and 1X on everything else.

The CSR also offers a Global Entry/TSA Prehceck credit valued at $100 and access to the Sapphire Lounges by The Club.
