EXPOSED: MSM Whitewashing of Clinton Spying Scandal
As we told you, Special Counsel John Durham revealed a new bombshell in his investigation into the origins of the Russia Hoax, filing in court that a Clinton campaign attorney reportedly hired tech companies to access and “exploit[]” servers to spy on Donald Trump and the White House while he was both a candidate and the sitting President of the United States.
Now that the truth is starting to come out, the Left is pushing back, using the mainstream media to try to discredit the Special Counsel’s findings.
A CNN report claimed the language in Durham’s pleading wasn’t clear:
"The accusation – which Durham couched in vague, technical language in a court filing late Friday."
Durham laid it out very clearly in his court filing:
"Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited this arrangement by mining the [Executive Office of the President] EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump."
Does that seem vague at all? Other mainstream media outlets have tried to spin it the same in their reporting on this investigation. New York Times tried to claim this was old news:
"The entire narrative appeared to be mostly wrong or old news – the latest example of the challenge created by a barrage of similar conspiracy theories from Mr. Trump and his allies. . . . Upon close inspection, these narratives are often based on a misleading presentation of the facts or outright misinformation. They also tend to involve dense and obscure issues, so dissecting them requires asking readers to expend significant mental energy and time – raising the question of whether news outlets should even cover such claims."
ACLJ Senior Counsel and former prosecutor Andy Ekonomou debunked this drivel:
"The New York Times described the pleading as “dense and obscure.” I don’t see anything dense or obscure about it. . . . This is a clear, succinct, well-drafted pleading by a career prosecutor and his staff who knows that if there is a possibility of a conflict of interest representing a defendant, then they have to bring that to the court’s attention. And in so doing, they laid out very clearly and very succinctly the factual background that was necessary in order to inform the court of the possibility of a conflict of interest. I read it one time and understood perfectly what they said. And I have drafted literally thousands of these pleadings in 47 years of practicing law and this was a piece of crystal-clear pleading."
ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign policy and former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell discussed this scandal:
"There has been so much misinformation from the very beginning. . . . One thing that is for sure is that we’ve got to stop expecting the media in D.C. to ever report on this fairly. They are never going to. . . . I’m all for pointing out their hypocrisy, but at the end of the day, we should not expect them to ever change. They don’t want to tear down their precious ruling party. They are for the Democrats. And we just need to wise up and realize that. What does that mean for us? That means we’ve got to have other outlets that we can go to. I think that’s just the reality of today’s world."
Ric explained what needs to happen:
"I think what has to happen is the Republicans have to get laser-focused on making sure that those who are responsible for this hoax are prosecuted. . . . I also believe that what is unraveling now with the DOJ and FBI, the upper management of the CIA and the NSA, they clearly knew that individuals, whether they were inside or outside of government, were spying on the White House and the President of the United States and his team. That is unacceptable. I don’t care if you think that these allegations of Russian collusion were true, and so you’re going say, “Well we had to see.” No, that is illegal. . . . Those individuals need to be prosecuted no matter if they are Republicans or Democrats."
Today’s full Sekulow broadcast is complete with even more analysis of Left-leaning media outlets trying to debunk Durham’s investigation.
