In this tutorial video, we'll go over what the typical and most common amenities that buyers should expect in condo buildings in Miami and Florida generally.

This video will be especially helpful for buyers who are unfamiliar with the Miami or South Florida market, and are coming from high cost locales such as NYC where the expectations for building amenities are dramatically lower.

For example, its quite common for Miami condo buyers to expect condo buildings to have pools, plenty of outdoor/amenity space, gyms, included parkings or complimentary valet parking, sauna/spa/steam rooms, tennis courts, elevators, washer/dryers in every unit, outdoor space such as balconies or terraces for every unit, lots of natural light, summer kitchens, private cinemas etc.

In contrast, buyers coming from NYC might be shocked that this is the norm in Miami as they are used to getting literally nothing sometimes from their buildings in NYC. For example, many buildings, especially smaller ones in NYC are no-frills with zero on-site staff and no amenities to speak of. Sometimes, smaller buildings will be classified as walk-ups vs elevator buildings, meaning there literally isn't even an elevator as an "amenity."

Furthermore, it's not common for apartments, especially smaller ones to have a washer/dryer combo in the apartment. Sometimes buildings will make up for this by having a coin-operated laundry room in the building, typically the basement. However, it's the norm for each unit to have a washer/dryer in Miami.
