Union soldiers storing, transporting and sending supplies for William Tecumseh Sherman's taking of Atlanta in 1864 played "America's Favorite Pass time" with no fighting and more time than most soldiers, Union soldiers at this 1864 fort played baseball, collected berries and went swimming in the river.
