World War Kaiju, by J. Ishiro Finney is an alternate universe love letter to the Godzilla series of movies. A reporter from a Rolling Stone-esq magazine has found his leak willing to spill the beans on the government's use of giant monsters. Tokyo was destroyed by one to end WWII, but the Russians soon developed their own starting a new arms race.

If you love the old Toho Godzilla and Kaiju movies this is the book for you. Its a lovingly made story that gets a bonkers as those old movies did.
