Fog Bound on an Icicle - Chapter 2 - The Makings of a Hero
In this mini series we will explore WW2 history about my Grandpa Frank. This episode will focus on his formative years. He was a pilot, colonel and squad commander in the US Army Air Corps. He was an extremely brave man, a passionate fisherman who died in a test flight of a new jet aircraft. He was long gone before I was born, so all I know are the stories Grandma told us. Along with a few photos and newspaper clippings, we bring the stories to life.
