Crested gecko produced by parthenogenesis

Our female gecko named River lays eggs regularly and we just throw them away when we do a clean out. This time, however, the conditions must have been perfect for the egg to develop. This is an asexual reproduction called parthenogenesis. The baby is a female named April, in this video she is approximately 10 months old already. She was discovered on the floor of River's terrarium on Easter Day 2021. . . A regular immaculate conception! Lol. We are amazed. It's not quite representative of the meaning of Easter and the resurrection of Christ, but a fun coincidence none-the-less.
