Matthew 5:3
Ten Attitudes of Victorious Living ... Seeking God!
These Attitudes are the character qualities of Born Again Believers!

1. Humility
Matthew 5:3 Jesus said: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”
I admit without Jesus Christ in my life I am powerless over self-centered behavior & the effects of drugs and alcohol, and my life is unmanageable.
2. Repentance
Matthew 5:4 NKJV Jesus said: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
I believe Jesus Christ can and will create in me a new way of life.
3. Submissiveness
Matthew 5:5 NKJV Jesus said: “Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.”
I give my will and my life to Jesus Christ.
4. Honesty
Matthew 5:6 NKJV Jesus said: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be filled.”
I honestly examine myself in the light of God’s Word.
1 Corinthians 12:31
5. Mercy
Matthew 5:7 NKJV Jesus said: “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
I humbly ask God’s forgiveness for my sinful past. I am able to forgive those who have hurt me.
6. Obedience
Matthew 5:8 NKJV Jesus said: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
I desire to live under the guidance of God’s Holy Spirit day by day.
7. Reconciliation
Matthew 5:9 NKJV Jesus said: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."
I ask forgiveness from God and those I have hurt or dealt with unfairly.
8. Faith
Matthew 5:10 NKJV Jesus said: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
I trust in the power of Jesus Christ when I face hardship and trials.
9. Perseverance
Matthew 5:11-12 NKJV Jesus said: “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
I stand firm in my faith that Jesus is in control of all things.
10. Loving Servant
Matthew 5:13-16 NKJVJesus said: "You are the salt of the earth; ... You are the light of the world ... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
As a new creation in Christ,
I share with others the Good News of a risen Savior who makes His people whole.

This Week:

1. Humility
Matthew 5:3 Jesus said: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN” (2008)

2. SYMPATHETIC SERVICE
Matthew 25:34 KJV
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35‭ For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

3. PERSEVERANCE
No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Luke 9:58‭-‬62 KJV
And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

4. NEW BIRTH
must be born again.
John 3:3‭-‬7 KJV Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

2 Thessalonians 1:4‭-‬6 KJV
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

6. FAITH IN LOVE
James 2:5‭, ‬8 KJV
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world RICH IN FAITH, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that LOVE HIM? 8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
