Tonight’s TAPS is sounded to honor the memory of SSG. Charles Philip Bednarik better known as Chuck Bednarik “Concrete Charlie”, Who served in WWII. After serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces, flying over 30 Combat missions over Germany, He went on to play in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Chuck Bednarik is a 2x NFL Champion ( 1949, 1960 ), and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.

On behalf of all American Patriots and a Grateful Nation, we offer you a “Last Salute”.

SSG. Bednarik’s service and sacrifice is not forgotten.
