Roswell (1999 - 2002): the emissary

From season 2, episode 9: "Max in the City".

I can't help but find Ava's look really funny, particularly due to the fact that she's wearing one of those cheap, generic Halloween store wigs that've been ubiquitous each year for decades--not like it, exactly it.

The emissary is about as fascinating on his own as the events that take place during the scene. He has such an immense amount of presence (not to mention the fact that he is clearly a Zan devotee) that I find myself fixed on him as much as anything else.

I can't help but hope he found much success in his career, although I don't remember seeing him in anything outside of this. I also can't help but wonder about that green suit. Was it the actor's idea, had the character just arrived from the Emerald City, was the character attractive to aliens because he was an eccentric sort of person or was he the eccentric type as a product of being an alien abductee?

The power Rath describes the emissary as having over humans is an incredibly interesting take on alien abduction. Maybe it works this way sometimes in real life. As it is, I am already convinced that humans do this to other humans. The subject of this is called a manchurian candidate.
