In 2003, US-led coalition forces invaded Iraq to overthrow the govt of Saddam Hussein. On December 13, 2003, the force conducted an operation named Red Dawn to capture Saddam. The operation was named after the film Red Dawn released in 1984. The force searched two sites outside the ad-Dwar town near Tikrit in Iraq. Hussain was captured from a Spider hole and the mission was completed.
