Burlington/Otis Hydraulic Elevator @ 676 White Plains Road - Scarsdale, New York

Recorded on 2/10/22. This is another one of those not so great moments in elevator photography. Here we have what is actually a really cool old elevator that was modernized with Otis Series 1. The phone box was rather heavy to pull open and retracts super easily when closing. For some reason the phone activated when I closed it. I am not sure if the button was super close to the door or if there was enough vibration to activate the phone. Either way I did make sure to speak to the operator (off camera). As a disclaimer if you accidentally activate an elevator phone always make sure to speak to the operator. Avoiding to do so could result in unnecessary attention or even have emergency services dispatched.
