Soil/Potting mix base for no mondy

If you have a local mulch dumping site, this could be a good way to get a good base for a soil or potting mix.
My county takes in the mulch from tree companies and then composts that in giant piles, the mostly finished piles are free for residents to take. It requires time, energy, containers, and a shovel; but it makes a great mix for growing fruits/vegetables.
