Cassie Cooper started posting videos of her encounters with Richard last summer after the kids brought him back to the family’s home outside Winston, Montana.

Cassie Cooper didn’t set out to pick a fight with a rooster. It probably didn’t even register; getting into a grudge match with an ornery bird she has to feed every day.

Richard had his own ideas.

“Richard!?” Cooper asks hesitantly as she cautiously walks past the black rooster.

The next thing you see is Richard scurrying across the ground, racing up behind Cassie’s right-hand shoulder.

“I never know …”

These are the last words to escape Cassie Cooper’s mouth before she lets out a series of shrieks above a bobbled video recording.

“Dammit that hurt!” Cooper swears after things settle down a bit. “Got me right above the Muck boot.”
