Why the Mario Kart 8 Booster Pass is a great idea

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will receive 48 additional racing tracks with the Booster Pass DLC, but some people seem to be disappointed that Nintendo didn't announce Mario Kart 9 instead.
In my opinion, though, the DLC is even better than a new installment, at least on current Nintendo Hardware.
