A description for why this poem was written:

A Valentine Story and Poem to Touch the Heart

Andrew, a perceptive and caring young lad carefully gathered construction paper, an assortment of pretty lace from his mother's sewing box, and a few packets of sparkles and glitter. To complete this task of importance, he also collected a tube of glue, some crayons, and colored pencils. He carefully placed the articles in front of him as he had an idea for his school’s upcoming Valentine’s Day Celebration.

He had decided to take on his special project after watching his classmates exchange valentines last year. As a tender spirit, he noted those who did not receive one. He still remembered their tears, their disappointment, their unmet expectations which made them feel left out from those who held big, showy valentines in their hands.

He had lowered his head, and quietly muttered...."How sad some of my classmates are this day”!

And for this reason, he was making some special valentines just for those with a lonely heart to show his friends love and acceptance.
Sheila, Ms. Lady of Love
