Ancient Roman Honey Cakes/Aliter Dulcia (Another Sweet)
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ¼ cup almonds, chopped
• ¼ tsp ground rosemary or rue
• 1 cup Spelt flour
• ¾ tsp instant dried yeast or 1 tsp baking powder
• 2 Tbsp sweet raisin wine or passum
• 1 egg
• 2 Tbsp honey (and ½ Tbsp more to feed the yeast)
• 6 Tbsp milk

Garnish:
• Honey
• hazelnuts or filberts, chopped

Maza (honeyed barley cakes, I don't recommend this)
• 1 cup barley flour
• ½ cup water
• 3 tbsp clear honey
• 2 tbsp olive oil
