THE ABBEY OF THE LEMUR On Manufactured Controversy Pt. 1

(2003) In the wake of Bob Emengger's obscenity complaint, the Lemurs assemble to carp about it on camera. This is prior to the hearing wherein we were vindicated. What we discovered was that when you evoked the ire of a certain class of people, those people came it you from all directions. In this particular show we broke down the inner workings of the complaint itself.
PRODUCTION NOTES: A lot can be said, here, for good production that don't cost nothin'. We shot this in Jet's apartment, with a couple of lights and a gauze curtain. Jet had a background in theater, and whipped up a nice, simple set design that worked. I edited, and it looks as though I added a "strobe" effect to the motion......I quite liked this effect from the early TAOTL days when we had it as an in-camera effect-----obviously my affectation carried through to the present.
