MZ/IB Archive - 10/17/2021: Truth Series - Translations or Transmutations

Dear fellow saints,

I really like this video. If we're going to read the Bible, we might as well read what God said. Translation is all-important. The only way to translate is with a method. "Method" doesn't sound very spiritual, but it is the only way to respect what God said.

Almost all common Bible translations employ no method at all. You will see plain evidence of that in this video. The NIV, the NASB, and especially the KJV are translation disasters. The King James translators never imagined that any such thing as a concordance would ever be invented, where common people could check up on the translators and see their system of translating—or lack thereof.

With the aid of a concordance, it is easy to point out glaring translation mistakes. Most translations aren't even that; they are interpretations. Without an actual system of translating, the "translators" easily insert their biases into a text by interpreting words the way they want them interpreted. This is what happens when the words from the original languages are not assigned a specific English word that is then used only for that Hebrew or Greek word. With a system of translating, however, the translators themselves have to step back to see what they have created.

Please send this video to anyone who takes the study of God's Word seriously. Especially send the link to those who think that the KJV is infallible. Nothing could be further from the truth. Anyone who believes the KJV to be infallible will never come to a knowledge of the truth.

As I said, I like this video. I made this in Willard, Ohio, in June of 1998. This is a foundational video. There are some startling sections, and humorous sections. Some sections are startling and humorous at the same time.

Once again, Rodney Paris of Texas has put extremely entertaining moving images to this 25 year-old message that was originally recorded on a cassette tape. Rodney brings these messages to life.

The audio stands alone, but Mr. Paris has turned out a video that ought to become a classic to anyone who takes the Word of God seriously. Again, please distribute this on social media, or wherever true seekers might be found.

Yours from the Floridan peninsula,
