My Haventents XL Hammock Setup 2021

A bit from my Canada Day camping trip describing my setup/mods for the haventents hammock. Seeing how it poured rain on and off for 2 days, the 10x10 tarp was very useful in keeping me and my stuff dry. I have however ordered a 12x12 for even more coverage. I do like the stock straps, but they are not long enough for some of the trees or spans in areas I like to setup. So I have a pair of 12' cam lock straps with the hooks removed, carbiners in the loops to fasten around the trees and the other end loop attaches to the factory carbiners on the hammock. I have a 4 piece pole from ebay on the front of the tarp, however the spike on it caused some damage when the wind lifted me tarp and the pole spike fell and went threw the bug net on the hammock. That issue has been fixed as well now.
