Amendments to the Lacy Act will end the importation of new and rare fish into the hobby as well as mott fish we have become accustomed to having. That much we know with certainty.
The thousands of serious, skilled hobbyists who maintain inventories of these fish will no longer be able to acquire or trade their fish.
This will destroy a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is protecting rare and endangered species.
The areas where these fish are collected will be abandoned to the loggers and miners.
Thousands of species will be lost forever.
This is the real legacy of those who want to control destructive invasive species by banning nearly everything.
