Hiking the west coast trail is a 76km point-to-point hike on a remote stretch of vancouver island in british columbia. originally created to save shipwrecked sailors of the coast.

It features old growth forests, stunning beaches, torrential rains, muddy bogs, towering ladders, slippery boardwalks, stretching cable cars, and glimmering tide-pools. There's an abundance of wildlife and you might catch a glimpse of orca whales, seals, sea lions, bears, wolves, cougars, eagles, and hawks. The West Coast Trail teems with incredible beauty with it's coastal features, caves, waterfalls, and dense lush forest.

A group of seven of us decided to finally make the journey from landlocked Calgary to complete this arduous hike. There were no regrets and we hope to one day do it once more. Westcoast trail hiking is word renowned and some of the best scenery in Canada.
