She's Got A Way Just The Way She Is

The Mayor decided to go with a Billy Joel "two-fer" today with Billy himself on the first part with "She's Got a Way" and then with Barry White's take on "Just The Way You Are" as he continues his "Lovey Dovey Mystery Tour" of segues. Try as we might, we can't wheedle it out of him as to what he is up to. Maybe he's trying out for the CIA or NSA to see if he can keep secrets... we don't know... but hey, it'll be Christmas soon and he should be passing out bonuses... last year he gave us pictures of a ham... maybe this time he'll actually show up with the bacon...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
