'Til We Meet Again on the Love Train

The Mayor is at it again today mixing Chicago's "'Til We Meet Again" into the "Love Train" that includes Hall & Oats, Billy Ocean and Maxi Priest instead of the O'Jays for a change for today's Segue City Special. It's a bit more up tempo than some of his other Sunday segues but he says he's sure this one will work just the same and keep it in line with his other weekend offerings... we say he's way ahead of the curve already and none of this makes any sense... but then again does it really have to?

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
