The Mayor takes his segues seriously and in this instance he's covering three days instead of just the weekend while we're farther south lounging in a cabana on the beach with selected beverages... so for Christmas day he's come up with a mix of Paul McCartney, from his first solo album after the Beatles broke up, with Paul Simon with one of his solo albums albums after he broke up with Art Garfunkel.

That's a lot of breakups but a professional hazard with musicians. But these songs, themselves, are going in the opposite direction so it serves the Mayor's purposes just fine according to him. The mystery continues on as to what he is up to, but he still hasn't broken the code of silence on anything. All he will say is Merry Christmas! So that is what we'll say to him and to you too!

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
