Long John Baldry does his classic song about no one laying any jive on him as the King of Rock n' Roll into Elton John's "Grey Seal" which is a perfect road song at 120 mph right out of the box and there you have today's Segue City Special... This is a strange week. No one is really working at all. Nothing gets done and there is the letdown from the Christmas high to the countdown to the end of the year and the excuse to get drunk... So perhaps this segue can some how pick up the pace and make things move smoother or something like that...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
